About the Role

We are looking for a recent FSA or career ASA to join the US Life & Health Valuation team responsible for reporting quarterly financial results for all US Individual Life (non-asset intensive) blocks of business, with IFRS17 as the primary focus, but also supporting US Statutory and Swiss Statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities:

- Quarterly valuation, including but not limited to explaining experience variances and reserve movements, input into assumption feedback loops, ensure key checks and controls are timely and effective, and responsiveness to ad hoc inquiries.

- Support key stakeholders in considering and implementing inforce transactions.

- Drive continuous improvement in processes and systems.

- Provide guidance to junior team members.

 

About the Team

L&H Valuation US & LatAm is a diverse team of actuaries primarily located in Armonk, NY, Toronto, Fort Wayne, IN and Bangalore, India to produce reserves and projections including the setting of best estimate assumptions for all of Swiss Re's L&H business written in the US and Latin America. We typically work with a number of other departments and colleagues in multiple international locations.

 

 

About You

- Recent FSA or career ASA

- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team to contribute to the successful delivery of time-sensitive projects

- Valuation/Financial Reporting experience preferred

- IFRS17 experience preferred
