Compliance Analyst
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Compliance Analyst for our Canada Reinsurance business, based in Toronto. In this role, you will support all aspects of the Group global and Americas Reinsurance Compliance team's mandate, drive content development and interact with business stakeholders and global Compliance team members. You will also provide support to Group and Compliance team initiatives and projects, as required. In this role you will:

Support the Canada Branch Compliance Officer in all aspects of the local (Canadian) Compliance Risk Management framework in alignment with the Group Compliance Programme, the annual Compliance Plan and associated compliance risk mitigation standards for existing, new and changes to regulations including policies, guidelines, training, communication and advisory support for business processes and controls

Provide enabling guidance to the Business with respect to compliance requirements and implementation of the Compliance Risk Management programme, communicating compliance requirements for Compliance Risk topics to business colleagues and support with the development of related processes, including managing Compliance risk in the digital space

Support the Compliance Officer with reporting to the Group, Senior Management and Branch Management

Participate in, and contribute to, wider regional and global initiatives to support our Americas Reinsurance Compliance team's mandate

Work at the direction of the direction of the Canada Branch Compliance Officer in carrying out and maintain required regulatory compliance governance and oversight activities of the Branch
About the Team
In this role, you will be part of the Americas Region Compliance Team supporting Swiss Re's Reinsurance businesses in Canada, US and LatAm. This highly collaborative team is connected and works together to meet local and regional goals for the team. You will also be connected to Swiss Re's global Group Compliance team community which is highly collaborative and inclusive.
About You

University degree
-
3-5 years experience in regulatory and/or operational compliance preferably in an insurance/reinsurance or financial services company

Solid understanding of compliance risks and insurance/reinsurance

Proficiency in using technology effectively in carrying out functional responsibilities

High energy, comfortable working independently and handling multiple requests and deadlines

Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

Hard-working and strong desire to learn

Display a "can do" mindset, are dedicated and put the client first

Strong organization, prioritization, and detail orientation
