Operations Analyst

Are you a motivated, analytically minded professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and collaboration? Do you get energized by turning complex data into clear insights and helping high-performing teams run at their best? If so, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

As an Operations Analyst within the L&H Executive Office, you will be a key enabler of operational excellence across the Americas Market Units of L&H Re, P&C Re and the In-Force Optimization team. Working closely with the Department Operations Officers (DOOs), you will contribute to a wide range of strategic and operational priorities — from performance reporting and governance to executive communications, event management, to audit coordination and operational risk management. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work will help provide information and coordination to support leadership decision-making and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support operational, governance, planning, and business management activities across the Canada and US Market Units and the In-Force Optimization team, working with stakeholders across L&H and the Canadian Composite Market in North America.

  • Prepare and maintain standard reports, ensuring timely availability of key performance indicators to support leadership steering and performance monitoring

  • Develop high-quality presentation materials for management meetings, committee updates, town halls, internal and external events, team offsites, and communication packages

  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis on key operational topics, including cost management and follow-up on operational risk mitigation actions

  • Support change management and performance management initiatives, including executive presentation preparation and implementation of strategic priorities

  • Leverage AI and digital productivity tools to analyze information, create content, automate routine activities, and continuously improve ways of working

  • Collate and synthesize internal and external data, translating findings into actionable recommendations that support business decisions

  • Assist with governance-related activities, including compliance topics, records management, control evidence collection, action tracking, and follow-up on key business commitments

  • Contribute to employee engagement programs and event management, helping foster a connected and motivated team culture

  • Take on ad hoc tasks and evolving responsibilities as business needs arise, demonstrating agility and a solutions-oriented mindset

About the Team

The L&H Executive Office sits within the L&H Re Division Operations & Advisory and serves as the strategic and operational backbone for the Americas Market Units. The Department Operations Officers (DOOs) act as trusted business partners to the Managing Directors and their leadership teams, driving and supporting a diverse range of topics — from strategy and operations to people and culture. As an Operations Analyst, you will be an individual contributor reporting to the Lead DOO & Assistants, L&H Americas, embedded in a team that is intellectually curious, collaborative, and deeply committed to enabling the business to operate at its best.

About You

You are a self-starter who brings integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, and engaging with stakeholders across all levels of a global organization. You combine strong analytical skills with clear communication, and you are passionate about using data and digital tools to drive smarter, faster decisions.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen — ability to work with diverse data sources, draw meaningful insights, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications — including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Copilot, with demonstrated ability to produce polished, executive-ready materials

  • Project management and planning skills — proven ability to coordinate and support the execution of a portfolio of activities across multi-functional and global teams

  • Stakeholder management and communication skills — ability to build effective working relationships across teams, functions, and levels of the organization, handling sensitive and critical information with discretion

  • Comfort with AI and digital productivity tools — experience using technology to analyze information, automate routine tasks, and continuously improve ways of working

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience working in the re/insurance industry with a solid understanding of the Life & Health business

  • Familiarity with reporting, visualization, automation, and productivity tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, Access, or Stargate

  • Knowledge of Swiss Re information and reporting systems

  • Experience supporting governance, compliance, or audit-related activities in a corporate environment
