Senior Operational Excellence Lead

About this Role:

 

In this exciting role, you will be instrumental to define and implement key elements of the North America Operational Excellence strategy across the Corporate Solutions (primary insurance) business.  You will be working very closely with the Business Process Owners, Regional and Global Business Heads and a cross-functional network to streamline, harmonize and continuously improve our processes.  In this position you will be accountable for defining, implementing, and quantifying operational excellence projects and programs.  You will report directly to the Head of Operational Excellence North America.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional ownership of core transformational topics such as continuous improvement, systems thinking, problem solving, solution definition, process improvement, project management.
  • Develop, define, and manage project goals, scope, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify, plan, setup and implement changes which will define Corporate Solution's target operating model.
  • Bring in solution ideas and use problem solving methodologies (such as DMAIC/Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, Systems Thinking).
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with business experts (SME's) related to assigned projects.
  • Define metrics used to manage process adherence and performance reporting.
  • Connect with other OpEx teams to link transformational topics together into a cohesive plan.

North America Operational Excellence is a specialized team of transformation and program implementation experts who collaborate closely with senior management and business experts.

 

Based on the overall strategy and individual demand, we deploy concepts, analytics, problem solving, project management, change management, and/or influencing skills. We act as a partner, challenger, facilitator to provide the best possible outcome.

About You:

 

You are a self-motivated, independent individual with a strategic mindset, analytical and presentation skills. You bring a strong drive for organizational transformation as well as the desire to deliver on the goals of the organization. You bring in:

 

  • Strong strategic background mindset with understanding and usage of data analysis, problem solving, project management, solution definition, and organizational change tools & techniques.
  • Proven ability to create concepts for operational excellence topics and present them to senior management.
  • Experience in conducting Kaizen/RIE (Rapid Improvement Events): definition, implementation, and execution of collaborative workshops with stakeholders to define a new or improved business process.
  • Strong PC skills: MS, Project, Word, Visio, SharePoint, plus process mapping tools such as ARIS.
  • 5+ years' experience in operational excellence, process excellence, transformation or similar plus a Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • 3+ years' experience leading large-scale programs and/or projects
  • PMP certification and/or Agile certification are a plus

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average.  This role is not eligible for either location assistance or visa sponsorship.
