We are looking for an AI Product Owner to lead our Risk Data Intake transformation – a strategic initiative focused on converting vast volumes of unstructured client risk data into structured, decision-ready input for costing, modelling, and portfolio analytics.
This role sits at the intersection of data & technology, product management, actuarial, and underwriting. You will combine actuarial and underwriting expertise with hands-on AI engineering capabilities and strong product and delivery leadership to build scalable AI solutions that create measurable business impact across underwriting, claims, and operations.
About the Role
As an AI Product Owner for Risk Data Intake, you will:

Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy for AI-driven ingestion and structuring of risk data

Act as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between product roadmaps, delivery, and strategic business objectives.

Translate underwriting, actuarial, and operations requirements into scalable AI and data solutions

Lead the design and deployment of document intelligence and LLM-based capabilities to automate submission intake and data extraction.

Ensure seamless integration of structured outputs into costing & pricing tools and downstream analytics.

Establish and track measurable KPIs (e.g., data quality improvement, cycle time reduction, automation rates, productivity gains) to demonstrate business value.

Drive industrialization by building robust, enterprise-grade data pipelines and AI applications, shaping best practices for AI governance, responsible AI use, and sustainable scaling.

Balance experimentation and innovation by staying at the forefront of emerging AI technologies and methodologies, continuously evaluating and translating them into practical business applications.
Key responsibilities

Drive and shape AI products from business value concepts to production, with a strong focus on AI products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand and translate underwriting, claims or operations business requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans, ensuring successful delivery.

Design and develop user-centric AI applications in Python/PySpark, that align with business and technological requirements, emphasizing user experience & data storytelling.

Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment across our business, Digital & Tech stakeholders and governance functions.

Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices to drive sustainable and efficient data products.
About you
To be successful in the role, you have:

A university degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or a related quantitative field.

3+ years' experience in a P&C actuarial or underwriting role

3+ years’ experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade AI or data-driven applications.

Hands-on experience with GenAI solution implementation, understanding strength and limitations of models, and AI models from training and testing to deployment in production.

Strong proficiency in Python/PySpark and software development best practices.

Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and align across Underwriting and Digital & Tech.

Excellent communication skills in English, able to translate complex technical concepts into business language.

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 128,000 and CHF 192,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
