AI Product Strategist / Product Owner

We are looking for an AI Product Strategist /Product Owner who thrives at the intersection of technology, product, and business. In this role, you will combine hands-on AI engineering expertise with software product and delivery leadership, building scalable AI solutions that create measurable business impact. 

 

You’ll be part of our Property & Casualty AI Transformation team, whose mission is to harness advanced analytics and AI to create a competitive advantage for our business. We collaborate closely with business stakeholders and Digital & Tech teams to design, deliver, and scale AI solutions that enhance decision-making and improve outcomes across the organization. 

 

About the Role 

 

As an AI Product Strategist /Product Owner, you will: 

 

  • Own the delivery of AI products, from concept to deployment and integration into user applications. 

  • Act as a stakeholder partner, aligning product roadmaps and delivery with business strategic objectives and technology landscapes. 

  • Build scalable data pipelines and AI applications, ensuring robustness, performance, and enterprise-grade quality. 

  • Shape the standards and best practices for LLM implementation, fine-tuning, and responsible AI use across the company. 

  • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI technologies and methodologies, evaluating their practical business application. 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Drive and shape AI products from business value concepts to production.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans, ensuring successful delivery. 

  • Design and develop user-centric AI applications in Python/PySpark, that align with business and technological requirements, emphasizing user experience & data storytelling. 

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment across our business and Digital & Tech stakeholders. 

  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices to drive sustainable and efficient data products. 

 

About you 

 

To be successful in the role, you have:  

 

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 

  • 5+ years’ experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade AI or data-driven applications. 

  • Strong proficiency in Python and software development best practices. 

  • Hands-on experience with AI models from training and testing to deployment in production, and GenAI solution implementation understanding strength and limitations of models. 

  • Expertise in data pipelines and MLOps practices at scale. 

  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and align across business and Digital & Tech. 

  • Excellent communication skills in English, able to translate complex technical concepts into business language. 

 

If you also have the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus: 

 

  • Knowledge of Azure, Palantir Foundry and Typescript 

  • Project management abilities within agile frameworks 

  • Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment.

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 128,000 and CHF 192,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

·the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
·the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
