About the Team
The Subledger Accounting team is based in the Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) department. Our main task is to preparation of consolidated financial statements efficiently and accurately in accordance with IFRS 17 and 9 for life and non-life reinsurance/insurance business. We are an international team and work very closely with our team colleagues in Bangalore and different regions. We check the correctness of the financial result with stakeholders from the business units and from Actuarial Valuation & Analytics and prepare the corrections with stakeholders to close the financial statements on time.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the financial statements of the Group. This includes preparing and posting corrections, as well as responding to inquiries and interactions with many stakeholders.
Your tasks:
- Collaboration in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS 17 and 9 for the Swiss Re Group.
- You post and check the corrections for the financial statements in the SAP subledger and in the general ledger
- You drive the exchange and interaction with internal stakeholders - You are the contact person for inquiries from external stakeholders
About You
- You have completed training as a specialist in finance and accounting, CMA
- You have 1-2 years of initial professional experience in a similar function
- Knowledge of the (re)insurance business and IFRS 17 is an advantage
- You have very good knowledge of common MS Office applications and enjoy analysing data
- You have the ability to work independently, in a structured and reliable manner and to understand complex interrelationships
- Excellent verbal and written English
