Actuarial Analyst - Graduate (Hybrid, m/f/x/d)

You have a Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree with less than 3 years of professional experience – we invite you to apply to our Graduate Programme which officially starts on 1 September 2025.

About the Role

 

This role will help you start your career at Swiss Re and give you a broad overview of P&C reserving.  

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Provide independent assessment of P&C reserves.
  • Implement new reserving models and process improvements using data analysis and statistical modelling skills.
  • Contribute to providing management with the most up-to-date information through the Group's quarterly reporting materials.
  • Perform 'deep dives' on specific portfolios.

 

About the Team 

 

P&C Actuarial Control provides senior management and the Board(s) of Directors with an independent assessment of our reserves for both Reinsurance P&C and CorSo. We also support the Group Chief Actuary in the preparation of quarterly closing materials and provide the Risk Modelling team with the P&C parameters for the internal model.

 

About You 

 

We are looking for someone who is energetic and motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills and who pays attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

 

Essentials:

 

  • You have successfully completed your university degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or any other degree with a quantitative component.
  • You are ready to pursue a professional actuarial qualification.
  • You can quickly grasp new concepts and develop them into practical solutions.
  • Experience with R and other programming languages/frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the use of statistical modelling, data science and data visualization tools.
