About the Role
In the role of Audit Director for Asset Management and Treasury, you will lead a team of highly skilled auditors and oversee audits across Swiss Re's Asset/Liability Management, Investment Management and Treasury. Reporting to the Senior Audit Director for Finance, Actuarial & Asset Management, you will drive high-impact comprehensive audits based on risk assessments, and provide assurance that governance, risk management, and control processes are effective. You will be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivering clear, impactful insights to continuously enhance the control environment.
Main Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:

Leading and developing a high-performing audit team focused on Asset Management and Treasury

Owning the end-to-end audit process, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

Driving continuous risk assessment to identify emerging and residual risks.

Defining and prioritizing audit activities in line with risk exposure.

Communicating key findings, including root causes, actions, and insights, to senior stakeholders.

Delivering concise, risk-focused reporting to Senior Management, Audit Committees, and the Executive Board.

Building strong, trusted stakeholder relationships.

Coaching and constructively challenging team members to support their growth.

Collaborating across functions and geographies to deliver holistic insights and foster a culture of trust and inclusion.

About You
You bring deep experience in the financial services industry and a strong understanding of Treasury and Asset Management risks. You proactively identify and assess risks, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, and confidently deliver impactful messages.
You combine strong financial markets expertise with strategic thinking, leadership, and excellent communication skills. You operate effectively in a complex, matrix environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
You are a curious, collaborative, and delivery-oriented leader who is passionate about innovation and transformation.
Essential:
-
15+ years' experience in financial markets (treasury/investments and asset management).

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.

Leadership and management experience in a global organization.

Deep knowledge of financial instruments, investment products and capital markets.

Ability to assess the accuracy and reliability of financial data, including valuation models, pricing mechanisms, and performance metrics.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing asset management activities.

Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, project management, and risk management.
-
CPA, CA, or CIA professional certification preferred.
-
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have:

Knowledge of agile frameworks.

Knowledge of audit systems and software (Teammate, JIRA, etc).
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 168,000 and 252,000 CHF (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
