Communications Intelligence Lead (80 - 100%, Hybrid, m/f/x/d)

About the role


The Head Communications Intelligence plays a pivotal role in strengthening our Communications Intelligence & Positioning team's ability to anticipate, understand, and proactively respond to the trends, risks, and opportunities shaping the reinsurance industry. This role is responsible for translating insights from internal and external sources into actionable and business-relevant recommendations – ensuring they inform strategic decision making, stakeholder communication, and leadership positioning. 


Key responsibilities


•    Guide the identification and collection of insights from diverse internal and external sources, including market trends, stakeholder sentiment, competitor activities, and societal developments
•    Provide forward-looking intelligence and insights that shape corporate positioning, executive communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
•    Translate complex data and trends into clear proposals, briefings or trends reports that shape messaging priorities and campaign decisions
•    Support the prioritization and planning of communication initiatives based on evidence-backed insights and risk/opportunity assessments
•    Ensure insights are actively applied, tracked, and reflected in communication strategies, CEO positioning, messaging frameworks, and leadership engagements
•    Manage external agency supporting the team with intelligence on emerging topics as well as advising on CEO positioning
•    Foster an internal culture of insight-driven decision-making and proactive environmental scanning by acting as the intelligence hub for the Group Communications team 
•    Stay on top of emerging technologies and digital trends - including AI, data analytics - and explore how they can be leveraged to enhance insights


About you


•    Proven track record in corporate positioning, strategic advisory, competitive intelligence, or related fields (5+ years of relevant experience)
•    Excellent understanding of global issues and trends
•    Strong analytical, and insight-synthesis capabilities
•    Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations
•    Strong business acumen and understanding of the financial industry; experience in insurance or reinsurance sector is a plus
•    Effective collaboration and influencing skills across all levels of seniority

 

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 118,000 EUR  and EUR 176,000 for a full-time role.

The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
