Financial Planning & Analysis - Graduate (Hybrid, m/f/x/d)

About the Role

  • Collaborating to develop and refine financial models that drive strategic decision-making
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual plans and quarterly projections
  • Analysing trends and market dynamics to provide actionable insights
  • Taking a data-driven approach to analysis and delivery of financial information
  • Participating in financial reviews and discussions to provide fresh perspectives and innovative solutions

 

About the Team 

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to join the dynamic P&C Reinsurance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Our team plays a critical role in driving the financial performance cycle, from setting financial KPIs and targets to conducting performance reviews, providing insights, and guiding portfolio management and market strategies. We serve as trusted financial partners to Product and Market leaders across the organization, helping them understand and improve their business through strategic advice and in-depth analysis.

 

Our team is a diverse blend of seasoned professionals and fresh talents, working collaboratively to anticipate market movements and deliver strategies that enhance our business performance. As part of the P&C Re Finance group, we work closely with underwriters, other Finance teams, and the broader Swiss Re organization. Our global presence includes members based at our headquarters in Zürich, as well as in offices around the world. 

 

About You

 

We are seeking a dynamic individual with a high appetite for learning new things, a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will bring not just your academic achievements, but also a mindset geared towards innovation and collaborative excellence.

 

Skills:

 

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with advanced Microsoft Office functions, business intelligence tools and a basic understanding of reinsurance or insurance industry dynamics are desirable
