Financial Reporting Analyst - Graduate

About the Role 

As a Finance Reporting Analyst in the Life & Health (L&H) Finance team, you will contribute to the financial reporting and analysis of our L&H business, working alongside seasoned specialists across the globe.

Key Responsibilities 

• Own and coordinate quarterly financial reporting processes, partnering with Group Finance and regional finance teams across multiple geographies 

• Analyse and interpret L&H financial performance data, providing clear and insightful explanations of variances against internal and external targets 

• Consolidate financial inputs from a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting outputs 

• Contribute to external L&H disclosures and internal management reporting, supporting the delivery of high-quality analysis used for strategic steering purposes 

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within reporting workflows, driving efficiency and quality enhancements 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as required by senior management

About You 

You are curious, analytical, and genuinely excited about the world of finance and reinsurance. You enjoy working with financial data and are motivated by the idea of turning complex information into clear, compelling narratives. You bring a proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and a natural ability to communicate with people across different teams and geographies. You are comfortable working under time pressure without compromising on quality, and you approach challenges with resilience and a desire to keep learning. 

You hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD and have up to three years of professional experience. You are eligible to work in Switzerland and are available to begin the programme on 1 September 2027.  

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: 

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's level), demonstrating a strong academic grounding in financial and quantitative disciplines 

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint 

• Knowledge of or strong academic exposure to IFRS accounting standards, with an understanding of how these apply within financial reporting contexts 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, and deliver high-quality outputs under time pressure 

• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences 

These are additional nice to haves: 

• Familiarity with reinsurance, insurance, or broader financial services industry  

• Interest in or experience with AI tools and technologies, particularly as they relate to improving financial reporting and analysis 

• Knowledge of data visualisation or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) 

The base salary range for this position will be shared with you during the interview process.
