Financial Reporting Specialist (Hybrid; m/f/x/d; 80-100%)

About the Role
You’ll join the Group Reporting Production team within Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) - the division responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making. Your direct contribution will be ensuring the accuracy of our financial data for a set of complex Legal Entities. Your analytical skills and accounting knowledge will play an important part in delivering reliable information across our financial reporting value chain. Being self-driven and curious is what we count on – this role requires collaboration with many stakeholders across Global Finance division and proactive challenging of how we do things.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Legal Entity analysis, including walk across valuations for Life & Health and Property & Casualty
- Validate financial data across business units and entities to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with Sub-ledgers, GL teams, Group External Reporting and Business Units to address and resolve accounting issues
- Consolidate and review Legal Entity results, perform variance analysis and reconciliations, and proactively address issues
- Improve validation methods to strengthen data quality and reporting efficiency
- Design and execute consistency checks and advanced data reviews for Group Reporting and Group Tax
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and provide clear audit evidence
About the Team
Our team ensures the completeness and accuracy of Group IFRS data. We carry out detailed checks at both workstream and Legal Entity level, enabling central status readiness for reporting deadlines. Being responsible for complete data flow as well as accurate Legal Entities view across the Group, gives us the chance to work closely with many teams across Group Finance and to see the full end-to-end process of producing financial information for external reporting.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to think both analytically and practically. You enjoy working with data, feel comfortable navigating complex financial topics and like collaborating with others.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance, ideally in the (re)insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 17, and hands-on experience applying these standards
- Proven experience in running complex financial analyses and interpreting large datasets
- Good understanding of financial systems architecture and data flows between applications
Nice to Have
- Experience with Palantir Foundry, Power BI, SAP tools (Fiori, AfO)
- Knowledge of the Group Data Model and consistency check requirements
- Experience in special Group reporting projects or transactions
- Understanding of finance closing processes, system interactions and team dependencies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 98,000 CHF and 146,000 CHF for a full-time role.

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
