About the Role 

 

As the Head of L&H AI Operating Model Transformation you will lead and drive our digital (re-)evolution, designing end-to-end operating model adjustments and orchestrating the integration of advanced AI technologies across our business. You will work with cross-functional teams to reimagine our L&H Business Architecture, focusing on capabilities, processes, data assets as well as business applications.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Design AI-driven L&H end-to-end operating model 

  • Design an AI-driven target operating model for L&H, act as design authority for related decisions, while ensuring alignment with L&H Business, Data & Application Architecture as well as Group AI standards 
  • Define a coherent transformation roadmap in close collaboration with subject matter experts across business and technology teams, as well as the Group AI program 

 

Drive AI transformation initiatives 

  • Orchestrate and govern the end-to-end execution of the AI transformation roadmap across business, data and technology teams, incl. the articulation and tracking of relevant business success indicators 
  • Enable the scaling of AI capabilities from MVP to production, generating measurable operating model outcomes and tangible bottom-line benefits 
  • Drive change adoption throughout the transformation journey across the organization 

 

Lead change, adoption, and capability building 

  • Define resource and capability requirements and build a high-performing AI operating model transformation team (internal and external) 
  • Act as a senior thought leader and advisor to L&H and Group leadership on AI-driven target operating model definition 
  • Drive change adoption, shaping new ways of working, decision-making, and collaboration between business and technology 

 

 

About the Team 

 

This is a dedicated L&H AI Operating Model Transformation capability, working closely with L&H leadership, the Group AI program, Technology, Data, Risk, and HR. The team will serve as the engine translating AI ambition into structural, scalable change. 

 

 

About You 

 

You are a strategic leader who combines a with a passion for technological innovation and a track record of driving organizational change. You understand both the technical aspects of AI and the business implications, allowing you to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical business applications. You can bridge vision and execution, turning AI concepts into operating reality and measurable outcomes. 

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: 

 

  • Proven experience in driving large scale, global transformation programs, defining and designing operating models and turning strategy into execution 

  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to gather insights, logically problem-solve and derive actionable recommendations 

  • Excellent change management and stakeholder leadership skills in complex, matrixed environments 

  • Strong track record as an enterprise design authority, making and enforcing decisions across business, data, technology, and organizational dimensions 

  • Demonstrable leadership experience, including both business and people leadership 

  • Strong executive stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively 

  • Background in Life & Health insurance or reinsurance 

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration 

 

These are additional nice to haves: 

 

  • Experience working with Agentic AI concepts and solutions 

  • Knowledge of data governance and ethical AI implementation 

  • Experience in agile methodologies and lean implementation 

 

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 164'000 and CHF 246'000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 

•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
•    the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
 
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

 In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus. 
Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
