About the Role
As an IFRS Data Analyst Associate, you'll be at the intersection of finance, accounting, and technology, supporting the implementation and operation of Swiss Re's IFRS 17 reporting solutions. You'll gain valuable exposure to both insurance and reinsurance business economics while working with two distinct IFRS 17 accounting platforms that are shaping the future of financial reporting at Swiss Re.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to local IFRS 17 deliveries and provide support to local teams throughout the delivery cycle
- Conduct technical reviews and validations of local IFRS 17 results
- Provide actuarial and technical valuation expertise across the IFRS 17 framework
- Support end-to-end integration testing within the new RCP environment for local IFRS 17 runs
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve, standardize and automate the current processes
- Collaborate effectively with Reserving Actuaries, Local Finance, FP&A, and IT
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure their timely and high-quality delivery
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute to continuous process and system improvements
About the Team
The Local IFRS Accounting team in Global Finance Operations & Transformation department consists of Actuarial and Reporting experts with 10 members located in Zurich, Bratislava, Singapore and Cape Town.
We oversee the IFRS 17 Local accounting subledger Reporting & Calculation Platform (RCP), serving 10 jurisdictions in EMEA and APAC regions reporting IFRS on statutory basis, and support the reconciliation of local results to Swiss Re Group's IFRS reporting solution, Financial Products Sub-Ledger (FPSL).
We are the business owners of RCP calculation logic and orchestrate quarterly closing tasks for IFRS 17 including substantiations and continuous developments to align with FPSL, providing support for the local regulatory submissions and yearly audits of all local IFRS filers.
About You
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- University degree, ideally in Data Science with Finance background
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar position in Finance or Accounting
- Advanced practical experience in Python (or other coding language),
- Demonstrated IT affinity, including the ability to understand code and develop solutions
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive and self-driven mindset
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
These are additional nice to haves:
- Knowledge and experience working with IFRS 17 financial accounting standards
- Ability to build working relationships across technical fields and effectively collaborate across various functions
- Familiarity with PySpark or Stargate
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical areas
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss results with stakeholders at various levels
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 77,000 CHF and 115,000 CHF for a full-time role.

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
