About the Role
As a IFRS Finance Business Analyst in our Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) Subledger Analytics team, you'll serve as an important connection between IT solutions and business requirements, supporting end-to-end IFRS 17/9 subledger initiatives. You'll contribute to financial closing process improvements and participate in key transformation projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Translate complex business requirements under IFRS 17/9 into IT specifications, designing data models and output frameworks

Conduct proof-of-concept testing and transform approaches into comprehensive business requirement documentation

Participate in cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams, contributing to successful implementation of financial reporting solutions

Identify risks associated with functionality changes and help define testing strategies to mitigate those risks

Present complex financial information to stakeholders across various departments

Perform quantitative analysis of IFRS 17/9 results, providing financial insights and recommendations

Support knowledge sharing for newly implemented change requests and complex issue resolution

Maintain data integrity across multiple global sources using SQL, Stargate, Artemis, and Advanced Excel according to IFRS standards and local Statutory reporting requirements

Support audit preparation ensuring proper documentation, accuracy and completeness of financial results
About the Team
Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re's external reporting and internal analysis that facilitates strategic decision-making. Our scope includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. We spearhead the transformation of Global Finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organization.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field

Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, reporting, or system implementation

Knowledge of financial standards implementation, particularly IFRS frameworks

Ability to work on complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail while maintaining perspective on objectives

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
These are additional nice to haves:

Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) or equivalent professional qualification

Experience with IFRS 17/9 standards in insurance/reinsurance environments

Knowledge of SAP FPSL or similar financial systems

SQL/Python skills and experience with data modeling and analytics tools

Experience working in global, cross-functional teams

Understanding of process improvement methodologies in financial reporting
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 77’000 CHF and 115’000 CHF for a full-time role.

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
