About the role
We’re looking for a highly motivated Investment Analyst Intern to join Swiss Re Asset Management for 3-6 months starting July 2026.
You will be embedded in one of our investment teams, most likely Private Equity or Corporate Development (Group M&A), working alongside experienced professionals on live topics and transactions. This is a hands-on role with real exposure to how investment decisions are made in a global institutional investor.
Depending on the team, your work may include:

Supporting investment screening and due diligence (e.g. Private Equity fund or co-investments, strategic transactions)

Building and reviewing financial models and valuation analyses

Conducting company, industry, and market research

Preparing investment memos and materials for internal committees

Presenting at Investment Committees and team meetings

Analyzing portfolio performance and key risk/return drivers

Supporting ongoing portfolio monitoring and strategic projects
You will be expected to take ownership of defined workstreams and contribute to team deliverables.
About the teams
Private Equity: Focuses on fund investments, co-investments, and portfolio monitoring across a global private markets platform
Corporate Development (Group M&A): Works on strategic transactions, partnerships, and investments at the Swiss Re Group level
Both teams operate in a dynamic, analytical, and collaborative environment with high exposure to senior stakeholders.

This internship is designed as a pipeline into Swiss Re’s Financial Markets Program (FMP), our graduate track for future investment professionals. You will gain relevant experience, build your network, and get a realistic preview of a career in Asset Management.
About you
We are looking for candidates who combine strong analytical ability with curiosity and drive:

Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

Strong interest in financial markets, private markets, or corporate finance / M&A

Prior internship experience in finance, consulting, or a related analytical field is a plus

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail

Comfortable working with data and financial concepts (e.g. valuation, financial statements)

Clear and structured communicator with excellent written and spoken English

Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently in a team environment
Technical & AI Skills

Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required

Experience with financial modelling, Python, or data analysis tools (such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ) is a plus

Interest in and familiarity with AI tools (e.g. for research, data analysis, or productivity), and a willingness to apply them thoughtfully in an investment context
