P&C Reporting Specialist (Hybrid; m/f/x/d; 80-100%)

About the Role
We are seeking for a motivated individual to support the production of the P&C Cash Flows for our Swiss-domiciled legal entities. You will contribute to the success of this key process within the Finance department and interact with the delegated authorities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support the Lead in the quarterly closing with the handling of relevant controls and documentation
• Prepare manual cash flows adjustments together with the Actuaries and relevant local stakeholders
• Participate in long-term change requests to improve the quality of our data, including requirements definition and testing
• Substantiate and validate the calculations and results including error handling
• Maintain close exchange and collaborate with other GFO&T teams, Actuaries and Business Units among many other teams
• Monitor data quality gates (pre-close activities as well as continuous process throughout the closing)
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve, standardize and automate the current processes
• Acquire a detailed understanding of the IFRS balance sheet and P&L
About the Team
Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is the unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making. This includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Global Finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organisation.

About You
You have excellent analytical skills with holistic financial thinking and be able to interpret financial data. You demonstrate strong personal accountability and are competent to work a flexible schedule and deliver under time pressure. You possess the ability to perform tasks with a minimum support and some degree of autonomy, but also collaborate with all partners to deliver on clearly attributed goals and objectives.
Your profile:
• University degree, preferably in Economics or Finance (or equivalent), Actuarial knowledge is a plus
• 1-3 years' experience in similar positions within Finance or Risk Management
• Deep knowledge of and experience working with IFRS financial accounting standards is a strong plus
• Strong and effective communication, service and client-oriented skills at all organization levels of the company
• Strong influencing and social skills, ability to connect with people and teams from other departments
• Ability to handle both conceptual and practical challenges
• Creative, showing a high degree of own initiative, ability to work under pressure
• Detail oriented and diligent in execution, balanced with pragmatic solutions
• Team-player, eagerness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
• Excellent oral and written English skills
