About the Role

Partnering with Senior Leadership, you will be encouraged to deliver business and customer value, as well as driving collaboration and knowledge sharing across all levels of Swiss Re. You will be encouraged to:

  • Partner with C&S leadership and Digital Transformation Leader to define the Product Area’s purpose and North Star mission to ensure alignment with Swiss Re’s business strategy
  • Establish Product Area vision, purpose, & measurable business/customer value metrics and align these with Senior Leadership and business strategy
  • Share leadership responsibilities at the Product Area level, co-create, prioritise and communicate the roadmap and the high-level Product Area backlog
  • Collaborate with other Product Area Leads to ensure the development of end to end business solutions across the Swiss Re IT landscape
  • Coordinate with Tech Area Leads, Product Owners and Chapter Leads to identify the right resources to support the Product Area’s priorities
  • Inspire, empower and enable squads to realise their missions and deliver value
  • Work together closely with Product Owners to drive alignment between Product Area priorities and Squads’ daily work, provide continuous feedback to enable Squad alignment and autonomy
  • Develop & mentor Product Owners & other team members to improve individual and squad performance
  • Engage with stakeholders and end users to deliver business results and customer value
  • Represent Product Area and Squad interests to senior leadership, and resolving blockers as needed
  • Break down silos & improve working effectiveness by playing an ‘integrator’ role across Product Areas & org
  • Collaborate with other Product Area Leaders & stakeholders to resolve escalated bottlenecks and dependencies
  • Team with Chapter Leadership to help strengthen our people and functional capabilities


About the Team


We are offering an opportunity to become an integral part of our "Innovation & Transformation" team (CITO), whose vision is to transform commercial insurance and reimagine customer experience through innovative use of data and technology, empowerment and enablement of our people, and co-creation of innovative solutions with our customers and partners. You will be part of high performing digital transformation leader's (DTL) unit that shape up the future digital landscape for our Credit & Surety unit.  


About You


To succeed in this role, you will possess …

  • 7+ years in Digital management consulting and/or Senior Product Lead or Product Area Lead roles with market-leading financial services players or startups
  • Agile Coach/ Scrum Master certification is a big plus
  • Developer, UI/UX or Product Owner background is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft DevOps or Jira is a must
  • Senior-level experience motivating, mentoring and developing people and teams
  • Strong business or technical acumen and a deep strategic attitude
  • Consistent track record of delivering results, impact and customer value
  • Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data
  • A desire and willingness to learning and improve continuously, both of yourself and your team members
  • Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment throughout the organisation
