Senior Event Designer (m/f/x/d, 80% - 100% Hybrid - Maternity cover for 1 year)

In this role you will be responsible for leading the planning and design of overall campaigns and/or event concepts as required by the business to guarantee that they meet the highest standards commensurate with Swiss Re's image and quality expectations.  

Your key stakeholders belong to various business units within Swiss Re. 

 

About the Role

 

As a Senior Event Designer within the Brand & Marketing Communications team you will:  

 

  • Develop and determine, guide and help execute innovative campaigns and event design- / concepts together with external and internal stakeholders for client- and stakeholder events 
  • Ensure events are Swiss Re brand compliant and adhere to Swiss Re guidelines / instructions, business requirements and quality standards 
  • Lead a global event design network and coordinate all involved parties/interfaces to ensure global events are brand compliant and have a level of required consistency across regions and markets. 
  • Collaborate closely with the internal Event Management team who will build out, execute and deliver on specifications for the events according to the design and concept requirements you develop with the input of your internal key stakeholders.  
  • Design the detailed event material and apply theme and branding guidelines  
  • Develop and proof (e.g. language) communication material 
  • Manage, steer, and communicate event playbook and act as producer at certain events onsite (and offsite).  
  • Support Swiss Re's brand development, compose various texts  
  • Develop analytics and metrics to measure the performance of campaign and event activities and ensure business commitments are met and continuously improved.  
  • Be part of an interdisciplinary team which includes Communications, Event Management and Media Services.  
  • You will also be expected to engage with global Events Design colleagues (eg in Americas + APAC) to regularly share and exchange success stories, learnings and processes.  

 

About you 

 

Must have: 

 

  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience as a campaign and event concept designer and have experience in both in person and virtual event design and management. 
  • You are able to create emotionally effective and inspiring event experiences through applied storytelling, dramaturgy, scenography and design – all executed via playbooks that turn ideas into real actions 
  • You like to think creatively, appreciate a good challenge and enjoy collaborating and communicating with others.  
  • Strong skills in writing, ability to adapt to fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects  
  • During the production phase, you will support the event management team in creative matters and are able to react flexibly to changing conditions with convincing solutions  
  • Strong skills in presenting concepts in English convincingly and with confidence.  

 

Nice to have: 

 

  • You have a sense for storytelling, dramaturgy, scenography and design. 
  • You have a high affinity for social media and online channels and have experience in animation, film, 3D or moving images.  
  • You enjoy and are skilled at moderating and managing creative workshops and development processes
