About the Role
Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) Subledger Analytics team is looking for a highly motivated individual to drive end-to-end IFRS 17/9 subledger transformation projects, including complex specification and testing of SAP FPSL accounting processes across multiple international reinsurance markets. You will contribute to the success of key process changes within the Finance landscape and interact with colleagues from multiple Business and Product teams across the end-to-end finance process chain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing cross-border financial reporting specifications under IFRS 17/9, converting highly complex functional requirements into technical SAP FPSL solutions
- Development of proof-of-concept testing and translate the successful approach into the business requirement documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation
- Identify the key risks associated with a functionality change and define the testing strategy to mitigate those risks as well as test broader regression risks
- Perform regression testing using existing functionality and after implementing new changes
- Effectively presenting and communicating complex information to cross functional stakeholders
- Conducting quantitative and financial analysis of IFRS 9/17 results, with ability to model outcomes across diverse regulatory regimes beyond Europe
- Support junior colleagues in their work and invest in their training and knowledge to strengthen the team in the long-term
- Ensure integrity of multi-source global data, performing deep-dive analysis using SQL, Stargate, Artemis, and Advanced Excel as per IFRS standards
- Assist in preparing audit documentation and evidence, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial results
About the Team
Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is the unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making. This includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Global Finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organization.

About You

Your profile:
- A bachelor's degree in finance preferably with a Post-Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics
- 8+ years' international experience with IFRS 17/9 implementation in SAP FPSL across multi-jurisdictional environments
- Strong understanding of SAP FPSL functionalities
- Recognized subject matter expertise in IFRS 17/9, including emerging market applications and an understanding of actuarial processes to be able to integrate with FPSL
- Practical ability to form an expectation of the IFRS 17/9 results for any given accounting scenario
- Experience integrating custom programs into the financial process to create and enrich input data
- Ability to create clear and concise product documentation required for training, maintenance and support
- Flexible and stress resilient – capable of managing own workload and provide flexibility during peak periods
- Curious, open-minded, passionate self-starter who takes initiatives.
- Teamwork - able to build working relationships across technical fields and work effectively across the end-to-end reinsurance reporting landscape.
- Experience in mentoring and training junior colleagues to develop their career and enhance their skillset and effectiveness
- Proactive and able to demonstrate keen enthusiasm in learning and developing existing knowledge
- Fluent in English, both written and oral
Nice to have:
- Expertise in multiple regulatory frameworks, including US Statutory Reporting, and statutory frameworks in Asia/Africa.
- IFRS 17 Implementation Experience using SAP FPSL
- Experience in training and handling small teams
- Mandarin/ Hindi would be advantageous
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 98,000 and 146,000 CHF (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
