Senior Treaty Underwriter (Hybrid - m/f/x/d -80-100%)
We are looking for a highly motivated and result oriented senior property underwriter to join our Globals EMEA & International Business property underwriting team in Zurich or Munich.
Do you want to nurture our transaction pipeline together with the account managers of your accounts - and convert the opportunities into deals that benefit both us and our clients?
About the Role
In this role you evaluate and assess risks in accordance with company guidelines and standards and make underwriting decisions within your authority level for assigned treaties. In collaboration with other functions, you will drive, enable and steer the product strategy of the Property CUO office in strong cooperation with the market units and help build a balanced portfolio which we will jointly develop to deliver sustainable profits over the reinsurance cycle.
Further key responsibilities:
- lead discussions with clients to identify their motivation, needs and priorities
- develop innovative reinsurance solutions and transactions, using the full range of our capabilities
- play a driving role in meetings and negotiations with global and international clients and brokers and build relationships with your clients' reinsurance departments and underwriters
- contribute as a member of the P&C Re CUO Property organization to the creation and execution of its product strategy, as well as collaborating, steering, and enabling business underwritten within the relevant Market Units

Our clients focus on property insurance with a worldwide scope, serving a client base ranging from homeowners to corporations. We aim to help our clients to grow and flourish by closing the protection gap as well as helping them with their capital management.
The deals we write in our portfolio range from country-specific treaties to worldwide solutions with broad coverage. As a result, you will collaborate with other lines of business, facultative underwriting, offices abroad and structured reinsurance.

Essentials
- University degree (Master or equivalent), preferably with a quantitative, scientific or economic focus
- At least 5 years of underwriting experience and have demonstrated strong project management skills in complex business settings
- Solid understanding of contractual wordings
- Proficiency in English, additional languages like German, French or Spanish are a plus
