Treasury Analyst - Graduate (Hybrid, m/f/x/d)

We are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills, who are eager to learn, broaden their knowledge and expertise and want to make a difference. You have a Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree with less than 3 years of professional experience – we invite you to apply to our Graduate Programme which officially starts on 1 September 2025.

The programme offers you the chance to join the dynamic, fast-moving world of a leading risk knowledge organisation. Over an 18-month period, you will receive on- and off-the-job training, including a job rotation that gives you the opportunity to work across different lines of business and departments.

About the Role

This role provides you with the opportunity to develop an in-depth financial and business understanding of Swiss Re and the broader (re)insurance industry.

A key part of the value proposition of a (re)insurer is a strong credit rating as it provides to customers and clients a measure of certainty that their claims will be settled promptly. Credit ratings are provided by independent rating agencies, such as Moody's, S&P, Fitch and AM Best. As a Treasury Analyst, you will assist our Rating Agencies team in all products and tasks related to the management of our Rating Agency relationships (currently with S&P, Moody's and AM Best) and, therefore, our credit ratings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as a Swiss Re contact for the Rating Agencies
  • Managing and coordinating the preparation and delivery of applicable information to Rating Agencies
  • Coordinating and managing the annual rating agencies review process for Swiss Re Group and its rated legal entities, including annual management meetings, regular surveys and ad-hoc enquiries
  • Maintaining and (where possible) improving the Rating Agencies capital adequacy models
  • Contribute to capital and risk management processes from the rating capital perspective, including Plan and ORSA reporting
  • Supporting business and transaction analyses of rating capital consumption
  • Communicating rating relevant information within Swiss Re and on Swiss Re’s public website

About the Team

Our team is part of Group Treasury within Group Finance. We contribute to the Group Finance mission and support our Group CFO, who is ultimately responsible for managing the Swiss Re Group's relationship with the Rating Agencies and provide support to the business to take smart business decisions!

We are a team of five members, all of whom are based in Zurich, including this position. We collaborate intensively with other teams within and outside Group Finance including Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Business Strategy and Finance, Risk Management, Asset Management and Underwriting.

About You

You are an innovative individual with a strong sense of initiative, always eager to contribute new ideas. As a true team player, you actively support a positive team environment and collaborate effectively with others. Your maturity and self-confidence enable you to work effectively with clients, business partners, and senior colleagues. You adapt easily to dynamic and changing environments, and while you have a keen eye for detail, you never lose sight of the bigger picture.

Essentials:

  • Successfully completed university degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Math, Science or equivalent
  • Strong interest in/motivation to learn about (re)insurance
  • Good financial modelling skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Please note that the application process will be open until beginning of November. The active selection and interview process will start afterwards, and you may not hear from us in the meantime. This does not mean you application is ignored. Please keep this in mind in case you do not hear from us within upcoming weeks. We will keep you informed of any updates or changes to the schedule. Thank you for your understanding. #LI-Hybrid
